BRDC F4 News: James Reveler becomes 20th driver on the 2015 grid

BRDC F4 LogoJames Reveler will graduate to the Duo BRDC Formula 4 Championship with 23 Racing for 2015, and becomes the 20th driver to commit to the 2015 grid so far.

The 18-year-old racer from Middlesex moves into the series after enjoying success at local karting events, having claimed the Lightweight Sprint Champions Club 100 title in 2013. He then went on to be crowned champion in the 2014 Kent Karting Championship Rotax Max category as he dominated the six-round series that visited the Bayford Meadows and Buckmore Park circuits.

He will run with Dan Woodrow’s 23 Racing outfit, which makes the step up to the BRDC Formula 4 Championship this year. The team was originally formed by the Yorkshireman in 2008 as DW Racing to compete in the British Formula Ford Duratec Series. The Wetherby-based squad has since gone on to compete in the BRSCC Fiesta Championship and also supports drivers in the Super One British Karting Championship.

Reveler said: “I am delighted to be joining a series as competitive as the BRDC Formula 4 Championship. There’s a vast number of highly experienced and fast drivers so it will be a steep learning curve for me. However, I hope to develop as a racer throughout the year and post some competitive results.”

Team Principal Dan Woodrow added: “I have been watching the BRDC Formula 4 Championship with interest since its inception. This season was the perfect opportunity to finally get on-board and with the new car arriving in autumn, we are looking to establish ourselves in the series ahead of its introduction. We are very much a family set-up and Formula 4 suited us perfectly with its controlled specifications and level-playing field and we are very excited for the year ahead.”
