BRDC F4 LogoF1 design legend Adrian Newey says that it was an easy decision for his 16-year-old son, Harri, to commit to the BRDC F4 Championship for 2015.

Speaking to Autosport magazine, Newey commented: “Our choices were French F4 or BRDC F4. These were realistic budgets. If you look at MSA Formula and Italian F4 the budget is two or three times more. It was pretty easy [to decide] to be honest.” Read more of this post

BRDC F4 News: Palmer doubles up at Snetterton to take early Winter Championship lead

BRDC F4 LogoWill Palmer claimed a double victory at Snetterton today (Saturday), to hold an early 12 point lead in the 2014 BRDC F4 Winter Championship.

Palmer won the first race of the weekend, despite finishing second on the road to Gaetano di Mauro, who was penalised 10 seconds for a false start. Palmer then dominated the second race from pole position, leading every lap on the way to a 4.6 second victory. Read more of this post

BRDC F4 LogoHarri Newey has confirmed he will race in the BRDC F4 Winter Championship with HHC Motorsport, making the step up from karting to single seaters. He will make his debut at the opening round at Snetterton this weekend (8-9 November).

BRDC F4 LogoKarter Zubair Hoque will graduate to single seaters with HHC Motorsport for the BRDC F4 Winter Championship, which commences at Snetterton this weekend (8-9 November).

BRDC F4 LogoSennan Fielding secured his fourth BRDC F4 victory of the season in race one at Donington Park today (Saturday), to further intensify the championship battle.

BRDC F4 LogoLanan Racing’s Arjun Maini, and HHC Motorsport’s Will Palmer were the winners of today’s (Sunday) F4 races at Snetterton, with Palmer claiming his second victory of the weekend in race three to jump into third in the championship standings.

Maini’s win in this morning’s second race of the weekend came from pole position, the young Indian driver making a good start to launch into an early lead. His advantage was soon wiped out by the appearance of the safety car but upon resumption of the race Maini was able to stretch out a comfortable margin to claim his first F4 victory. The 18 year old from Chesterfield competed in three rounds of the main 2013 F4 season before joining HHC for the recent Winter Championship where he was a consistent front runner, securing four podiums from eight races, including a breakthrough win on the Brands Hatch Indy circuit on his way to third overall in the standings.
