F1 – Force India extends McLaren Applied Technologies partnership

Following on from its most successful FIA Formula One World Championship season to date, the Force India F1 Team is pleased to announce the first in a series of developments to aid the team in its campaign to reach the upper echelons of the sport.

The team, based in Silverstone, UK, is delighted to confirm it has extended its technical partnership with McLaren Applied Technologies until the end of the 2012 season, giving it complete technical stability for a further two years. From the 2009 season Force India has enjoyed a highly successful relationship with McLaren, which has supplied gearboxes and hydraulics. Over the same period Mercedes-Benz High Performance Engines has also supplied its renowned V8 engine, effectively giving Force India the same drivetrain as the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes team, which secured five wins in the 2010 championship.
